    just because that stuff looks like toxic waste in cartoons you watch does not mean its that bad. Don’t worry you won’t see mutant puppies.

    They contain chemicals and dye that shouldn’t be released in the environment. The best choice would be to use an alternative like this: http://www.azocleantech.com/details.asp?newsID=6438. So far glow stick manufacturers haven’t provided information on how to recycle them. In my area, glow sticks aren’t listed as something that you can bring to a waste facility as hazardous waste. Since there isn’t a good way to dispose of them, the environmentally-friendly choice is not to use them at all.
